Behind the Desk: A Day in Lucy's Library

Lucy's desk is never tidy. Star charts sit beside open manuscripts, a brass astrolabe holds down loose pages, and there is always at least one book left open to a passage she meant to revisit. This is where Grey Matter's collection takes shape — not in a boardroom, but in the quiet, cluttered hours of someone actually engaging with the material. It's a slower way of building a bookstore, but it's the only way she knows. If you've ever wondered what happens before a book reaches our shelves, this is it: hours of reading, cross-referencing, and a desk that never quite gets cleaned.
